Corrugated cardboard again proving to be a naturally hygienic packaging solution.

With the continuous spread of COVID-19 till this day, packaging conditions have become a critical element in deliveries.

Based on multiple studies performed during the past few months, and the scientific research led by the University of Bologna, it was found that corrugated trays keeps the food content fresher and safer than reusable plastic containers, because corrugated significantly reduces microbial cross contamination.

The study also revealed how microorganisms survived longer on the plastic surfaces whereas with corrugated packaging, they got trapped in the paper fibers and died due to the lack of water and nutrients, barely lasting 24 hours.

In addition, the corrugated manufacturing process involves very high temperatures, the material itself reaches at least 100 °C three times during the production process ensuring the elimination of microbes and bacteria.

Moreover, cardboard is only used once, thus there is a 100% guarantee that each individual receiving a package will be the first one coming in contact with it, and guarantees no risk from harmful bacteria harboring on the surfaces.

The Corrugated cardboard industry is operating non-stop, and playing a vital role in packaging essential goods such as food, medicine and medical equipment, to be shipped around the world for those in need. Our team is proud to be a part of this chain that is giving service to the community under the sustainability umbrella.

Corrugated Cardboard remains the ultimate choice when it comes to hygiene, sustainability, eco-friendliness, and food shelf-life extension.
